Heating mat for glass terrariums

Reptiles and amphibians are cold-blooded animals and in their natural habitat they often use areas warmed by the sun as a heat source. The Exo Terra Heat Mat is a terrarium substrate heater that mimics these sun-warmed areas. It is an ideal primary or secondary 24-hour heat source for tropical reptiles and amphibians, or for reptiles and amphibians from temperate zones. It is also an important source of heat during the night for many desert species. The heating mat can be permanently attached to the terrarium. The strong adhesive bond ensures optimal heat transfer. The Exo Terra Heat Mat can be used in combination with an Exo Terra Thermostat and/or additional heat sources for reptiles and amphibians with higher temperature requirements. The surface temperature of the heating mats is between 30 °C and 34 °C at an ambient temperature of 18.5 °C, but the temperature varies depending on the circumstances in which it is used.
