We only use fabrics that are certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) for the cotton content. This is our contribution to protecting our environment. Manufacturing quality:

We use only 3/1 weave body fabric to make all our items. This weave is extremely dense, robust and resilient.

Before cutting, the fabric is ironed at 3 bar pressure and over 100°C. This makes it even smoother and better at repelling moisture. Dirt and dog hairs can be shaken off more easily.

The fabrics are cut into panels and checked again for defects. The subsequent cutting is done by hand. If the fabric is cut by machine, inaccuracies and the fabric shifting cannot be avoided. These errors are excluded when cutting by hand.

Since the seams are exposed to high stresses, we use the elaborate but stable lockstitch method to join the various components together.

Finally, all products are checked by hand and with great attention to detail so that our customers are provided with a perfect product.

Care instructions

Preparation

For the Doctor Bark Green Label dog bed, the cushion is removed from the bed before washing. Shake the bed to remove coarse dirt and dog hair before washing. This will protect your machine. We recommend pre-treating heavy soiling with gall soap or a stain remover. You can also apply a few drops of Doctor Bark Laundry Detergent to the affected areas and gently massage it in with your finger.

Washing

Do you use Doctor Bark Laundry Detergent? If so, please add 50 ml of this detergent to the detergent compartment. If you use a conventional mild detergent, please follow the manufacturer's dosage instructions.

Please make sure that your detergent does not contain fabric softener or silicone solvent. To ensure that the Doctor Bark dog bed has its full volume again after washing, please use washing balls or normal tennis balls. This works wonders. Select the default ‘gentle cycle’ with a maximum spin speed of 800 rpm.

Drying

Gently shake out your Doctor Bark dog bed surface, as you would a down comforter. Then put the dog bed surface together with the wash or tennis balls in the dryer. Select the ‘gentle drying’ setting and only dry the dog bed in the dryer. Then let the bed air dry.

Of course, your Doctor Bark dog bed will also dry naturally without a clothes dryer. Select a warm and well-ventilated place for air drying so that your dog bed is dry again within 3-4 hours. Shake your dog bed well several times during air drying and gently pull it back into shape repeatedly.

Once the bed is dry, reinsert the cushion and your dog will have his familiar bed back.
