Beech leaves dried

The dried beech leaves are the ideal permanent food for shrimps, dwarf shrimps, crayfish, crabs and snails.

The dried beech leaves provide the invertebrates with important minerals and trace elements, such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, silicon and zinc.

Due to the tannic acid emanating from the beech leaves, the aquarium water turns slightly yellowish.

The outflowing tannic acid has astringent, antiseptic (germicidal), anti-inflammatory and disinfecting effects.

Besides being a source of food and natural water treatment, beech leaves also serve as an ideal hiding place, for various young invertebrates.

Another advantage of beech leaves is that they do not pollute the water in the aquarium and can therefore remain in the aquarium until nothing is left of them.
